Primary Services
- Work in the communities to leverage needed items or services.
- Stretch tax dollars through donations & reduced prices from local businesses
- Help families plan for future without dependence on limited government resources by creating personal support networks.
- Funding opportunities is available for assistive devices, home adaptations & other items/services necessary to live in the community.
Less Known Services:
- Community Guides offer peer support, network with community partners,assist with fundraising & leveraging donations.
- Craft class is open to every one of all ages. A rotation of volunteers offers their expertise on painting, woodwork, sewing & a variety of art mediums.
- Education/training for families & professionals (such as a child’s medical home, rights under I.D.E.A., person-centered & family support practices, navigating system reform & access to services)
- Share information about other resources in community if not eligible for SMFIF.
